Hi there! Are you troubled with homework hassles? Need some quick facts? Looking for impossible data about countries you've not heard of? Or are you supposed to make a pi-chart of languages spoken across countries? Rank the ten richest countries? The poorest? Find the age/sex ratio of the people in Tibet? The GDP of Italy? The population pyramid of China? You've come to the right place. We'll do our best to give you all the details we can and make your life generally easier.

Let's start at the very beginning. Is your search for facts country-specific? Do you need multiple details for just one country? If the answer is yes, it might be best to start with the country listing. You'll see all the countries of the world listed here in alphabetic order. Just select the country you want and proceed from there.

If you are not really looking for stats of countries, but just the maps, you need to start with our Maps section. Or maybe you'd prefer the flag listing we have of all the countries of the world.

You'll find the data for each stat shown in graphical format when you click on the name. You can just copy the numbers you require for your homework. You may print out NationMaster graphs provided that you keep the NationMaster logo as it is found on the page and use the information for non-commercial, educational purposes only. This also applies to pie-charts, scatter plots and correlations.

The statistics we have here are all about comparing countries or geographic entities (like, say Antarctica). We currently don't have anything for internal divisions of countries, barring some. Which means that if you are looking for the number of adult smokers in Alabama, you're out of luck. But anything involving country data, you'll probably luck out here.

So that you don't have to run through the complete listing of over 5,000 data sets searching for your needle in our haystack, we've divided the statistics we have into a list of categories. To make it easier, there's also a list of maps and graphs under each category.

Are you disappointed in the lack of tests your teachers give you? Probably not, but nevertheless, NationMaster is here to help! We've created a new GeoLab online quiz that uses NationMaster's statistics and graphing tools. Simply type in your teachers e-mail address on the bottom of the page and the results of your lab are sent directly to their inbox. Don't worry though, this isn't any ordinary quiz; it allows you to use all of the great features of NationMaster and get credit!

We've collected some questions commonly asked by students in a separate page. Why don't you check if other students have faced similar problems as you and if they solved them? Who knows, you might just get new ideas for your homework assignments!

I really like that there is a student page, but it should look more up beat, just so that it would be a place that we would send our friends if they need assistance on homework.
