2007 Leg

The tour was officially announced on January 18, 2007 by Billboard.com and McBride's official website. The tour is in support of McBride's ninth studio album Waking Up Laughing, which was released the week before the tour's opening.[1] Waking Up Laughing is the ninth album from country singer Martina McBride. ...

On August 24, 2007 it was announced that a special concert would be held at the i wireless Center in Moline, Illinois to be taped for a TV special. It was the first time McBride has recorded a live concert, and the first time the former Mark of the Quad-Cities had hosted a live taping. The 2008 leg of the tour was announced on October 31, 2007 with 11 initial dates being announced. Additional dates were later announced. Joining McBride for the first part of the 2008 leg of the tour were Jack Ingram and newcomers Lady Antebellum. A long awaited Canadian tour took place in March 2008 visiting seven Canadian markets.
